consciousness and spirituality can our consciousness exist outside the body or not? the outcome of Pim van Lommel's research of near death experiences is that consciousness (or if you like: the soul) supercedes the physical body. does reincarnation exist? this conviction is common in many religions, among these boeddhism. Ron L. Hubbard, the founder of the Scientology church, has developed a religion of his own: dianetics. Scientology is being repressed by governments because it is in their opinion a dangerous sect, that fools people. but what is it actually about? but also filosophy itself is an interesting field of research into the realm of consciousness.
body and soul body and soul is about health, wellness and the interaction between body and soul. is acupuncture a method of treatment that is scientificly accepted? and what about shiatsu, therapies according to the ayurveda and so on? A nice place to start would seem Susan Smit's book "'De Zweefmolen" which is about 60 different alternative treatments she tried out herself, with varying success.
relations and psychology psychology is an endlessly intrigueing field, especcially where it concerns human relationships. first and foremost the psychology of man-woman relationships are worth to investigate: the books by Barbara & Allen Pease, which go into the interaction between men and women in a humorous way, but based an a lot of scientific research and reports. why are men more apt to drive at night, why do women have far less collisions with another car coming from the left of right? and of course human characteranalysis (like the Myers Briggs Type Indicator). does astrology actually tell us anything about different types of characters or is it all a lot of crap?
social awareness when you are thinking in a conscious way about yourself and other people, you will end up thinking about your place in society. this may be the microcosmos of your village or the area you live in, but your influence spreads when you are effective and "mindfull". zo leert Covey. when you live from a certain set of values, you will extend these values to your broader surroundings. but how should you do this? do the polar caps actually melt because of human behaviour? and is this a problem or will we work it out somehow and shouldn't we worry? in the great perspective it does not matter very much, does it matter anyhow? so this starts with personal growth and awareness, and ends up with realising your impact on the world.
corporate social responsibility I'm not very much into abbreviations like "CSR". but when you are aware and committed to what you do, you can also focus on things that contribute to a better world. you aim to work in an organisation through which you work with eachother in a meaningful and respectful way. that is defined by the way you communicate with your colleagues, but it is also expressed in the common goals of the organisation. such an organisation is automatically healthy and effective. this part of the website is about interesting ways people achieve corporate social responsibility.
